If this thread has taught me one thing, its that no one here seems to know anything about Punk.

Permalink Reply by David J. Stepp (DJS92491) on November 13, 2010 at 11:04pm I have to say, with the mix of genres I'm seeing in replies, Weezer's next album is going to sound awfully unique.
Rivers, with this being said, would you care to be more specific on what type of epic rock you want influence from? I know a lot of bands, but from all of the suggestions I'm seeing it looks like the album the fans want is a rainbow of rock with a different type of rock influence in each spectrum. So until I get a specific type of rock record, I'll keep my ideas to myself.
As for the Pink Floyd idea, I would welcome an album mirroring Dark Side of the Moon or The Wall. I definitely love the idea of each song meshing into the other. They are great models for future Weezer songs.
