I heard weezer performed on OCT 4th in LA near staples center.
I guess this was a private event hosted by Adobe called Adobe Max bash :(
Was anyone able to go?

Permalink Reply by Margaret's Horsey [Jupiter 80] on October 6, 2011 at 2:42am Yeah but he's asking if anyone here went and for reports about the show. Nothing weird about that.
Permalink Reply by Jeffry Houser on October 8, 2011 at 2:10pm The Max Bash was, basically, a corporate party during Adobe's yearly marketing event / conference.
Weezer was the entertainment at the party. They played for about an hour and ran through a string of "hits" plus Radiohead's Paranoid Android. I haven't seen Weezer in a long time (I think the mid 90s). The show was awesome; but too short. I'm surprised at how many songs were pulled from the Blue Album.
Also--I don't know if this is weird or not--the bass player sang Dope Noise. Rivers introduced the band during he second verse of Pork and Beans and each member sang a line solo.
As far as I can, posting this isn't a in "violation" of the forum guidelines ( http://weezer.com/forum/topics/the-official-weezercom-message ); so here is my audio recording from the Max Bash:
Here are the mp3s:

And for you audiophiles here is the original wav file: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7170790/Weezer_MaxBash.zip
Not my best recording; but I hope some Weezer die-hards will enjoy them.

I assure you that the girl screaming in my ear was worse in person than it was on the recording.:-)
I'm glad you guys are enjoying, though.

Permalink Reply by Jeffry Houser on October 10, 2011 at 5:45am Nope; I haven't been in the trading scene since before it was cost effective to burn CDs; so haven't maintained a list in at least 15 years. Most of my master recordings are cassettes.
