A question for those who saw a show from the Weezer/Blink 182 tour
Was the crowd really rough?
I'm seeing Blink, My Chem and Rancid in a couple months, and I have pit seats. I've seen Weezer and some other rock bands live before (all pit seats), and most of them weren't too rough. Compared to Weezer, how crazy do you think a crowd of Blink, MCR and Rancid fans will be?

I was in the pit. Wasn't bad. Just really squished most of the time.

It wasn't bad at all, People started moshing to Beverly Hills out of all songs. Kind of a bummer. It is just really crowded, by the time blink came on it was way crowded and way hot.

Wasn't in pit Blink 182 but I watched as they were throwing krispy kremes at people in the pit.....looked like fun...the pit didn't look too bad...I think it would depend on the venue...I was at Jones Beach where they really controll the crowed....

The venue I'm going to has a really small GA pit because most of the place is reserved seating or lawn seating. I love all three of these bands but I'm nervous because the roughest concert I've been to is A Day to Remember....and it was awful. Do you think this one would be more mellow?

I was actually in the pit at another Blink 182 more recently ...Blink 182 with Weezer ! Never been to MCR or Rancid.Anyway, I don't remember the Blink crowd going out of control...but then again security is pretty tough at Jones Beach and the "pit" is seated. Why was it awful? Too much crowd surfers and smooshers? When that happens I always just get out of the way and let the big guys around take care of it...can't do much about the smooshers... Also, I am assuming people are paying good $$ for those seats and probably don't want to get kicked out....
I'm sure you'll have a blast and maybe even go home with a Travis Barker drumstick...Have a great time!

A Day to Remember was awful because some of those fans are psychos! (I only watched them because they were playing in a festival before Weezer came on) I know that you can expect for people to get into your personal space at concerts, but it was ridiculous! This one emo girl put her head on my shoulder and was going crazy because she was so into it. And the whole crowd was head bopping so much that it made it look like I was REALLY into it because everyone was jerking me around so much. Don't see them live haha.

I saw MCR in 2003 (about 6 months before they blew up), and the pit was ROUGH! They were opening for Reggie and the Full Effect.
Times are much different. You will be fine in this pit. Most of the people in the pit aren't going to be hardcore punks because you are seeing Blink 182. The nasty punks wouldn't come anywhere near the show you are seeing.
As far as drunk idiots....you will run into a ton of them
